The Sultanate of Oman is an active member of the World Trade Organization (WTO), strictly adhering to the principles of a rules-based multilateral trading system. In early 2026, Oman participated in the 14th Ministerial Conference, where it championed the integration of the Investment Facilitation for Development (IFD) agreement. This ensures that Omani trade policy remains open, fair, and perfectly aligned with global market standards.
