Tournaments
The Briefing: Tournaments aren't just about who has better aim on game day; they’re an absolute war of attrition. We cover everything from how to handle the mental fatigue of an 8-hour bracket run to managing your economy, tracking bans, and reading your opponent's playstyle after a single map.
The Core Rules:
The 15-Second Rule: When you run a VOD review after a tournament loss, stop looking at the missed shot that cost you the round. Look at the 15 seconds before the team wipe happened. The real mistake is almost always a blown rotation, a missed mini-map ping, or a waste of utility.
Lower Bracket Resilience: In double-elimination brackets, falling to the lower bracket breaks most teams mentally. The squads that make grand finals out of the lower bracket are the ones who treat the reset as a fresh tourney, not an execution.
The Winning Move: Never die with utility in your pockets. If you get picked off with an unthrown flash, smoke, or frag grenade during an elimination round, you essentially gave the enemy team a free win. Use your kit to buy space, clear angles, or stall the push.
