Spain in Oman

Introduction:

The relationship between Spain and Oman reached a historic peak in late 2025, evolving into a sophisticated alliance focused on the global energy transition. Following the landmark state visit to Madrid in November 2025, the two nations signed major agreements to build a Green Methanol production hub in Dhofar and a 10-year LNG supply partnership including joint investment in a new LNG carrier. Beyond energy, Spain is now a key partner in Oman’s digital transformation, deploying Artificial Intelligence for smart water management and infrastructure. This modern "Conscious Partnership" blends Spain’s technological leadership with Oman’s Vision 2040, creating a sustainable bridge for innovation across the Mediterranean and the Arabian Peninsula.
