🏗️ THE ECONOMIC BRIDGE: 2026 STRATEGIC INTELLIGENCE

I. The CEPA Era: 100% Market Access

The 2026 implementation of the India-Oman CEPA is a game-changer. It provides 100% duty-free access for Indian exports across 98% of tariff lines. This has sparked a surge in engineering goods, pharmaceuticals, and textiles entering the Omani market, while Omani petrochemicals and dates find a frictionless path to India’s 1.4 billion consumers.

II. The Green Hydrogen & Solar Alliance

Following high-level talks at WEF 2026, India and Oman are co-developing the Green Energy Corridor. This includes joint manufacturing of solar modules and electrolysers. Indian industrial giants are lead investors in the Duqm Green Iron Hub, with Jindal Steel Duqm nearing completion of its 5Mtpa green steel facility—the largest of its kind in the region.

III. Healthcare Leadership & Medical Tourism

Indian expertise defines the Sultanate’s private healthcare landscape. Major networks like Badr Al Sama, Aster Al Raffah, Apollo, and KIMSHEALTH—all Indian-owned or partnered—are leading the transition to "Medical Tourism." In 2026, the focus has shifted to Digital Health, with Indian AI diagnostic firms integrating into Omani hospitals to provide world-class oncology and cardiac care.

IV. Digital Sovereignty & Tech Synergy

The "India-Oman Network" (April 2026) has accelerated the "Digital Bridge." Collaboration now focuses on AI, Blockchain, and Data Centers. Indian IT leaders are partnering with the Omani Ministry of Transport and ICT to build "Digital Sovereignty," leveraging India’s world-leading tech stack to secure Oman’s e-governance and fintech infrastructure.

V. Maritime Security & The Duqm Logistics Hub The strategic partnership extends to the deep blue. The Indian Navy maintains logistical and refuelling access at the Port of Duqm, a critical node for securing the Indian Ocean’s trade arteries. This security umbrella ensures that the "Resilience Corridors" for food and energy remain open and stable.
