China in Oman
The Maritime Silk Road Anchor: Industrial Clusters, Digital Sovereignty, and Logistics Synergy
Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Muscat
Introduction: In 2026, the China-Oman relationship has solidified into a "Strategic Industrial Pillar." Anchored by the 15th Five-Year Plan and the evolution of the "Port-Park City" model, the partnership has moved beyond traditional energy trade into deep-tier industrial manufacturing and digital infrastructure. Following the April 2026 signing of major trade agreements in Beijing, the two nations are co-authoring a new chapter in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Under the leadership of H.E. Lyu Jian, the Chinese mission in Muscat serves as a high-velocity engine for Oman Vision 2040, integrating Chinese automation, AI, and green manufacturing into the Sultanate’s economic zones.
