Introduction to Frankincense

Frankincense, often called the “King of Incense,” is a fragrant resin obtained from the Boswellia tree, native to the Arabian Peninsula, particularly Oman, as well as parts of Africa and India. For thousands of years, it has been treasured for its spiritual, medicinal, and aromatic properties. In ancient times, frankincense was considered more valuable than gold and was a central part of trade routes that connected Arabia to Egypt, India, and Rome.
