How to play Rocket League
The Lobby
When you first enter the game. In the center, the player’s car is displayed, and on the left side is the main menu with the following options:
Play: Start playing
Item Shop: Access the in-game store
Rocket Pass: View your battle pass progress
Garage: Customize your cars
Club: Manage or join clubs
Profile: View player profile
Settings: Adjust game settings
Quit: Exit the game
On the right side, there is the Challenges window, where weekly or seasonal tasks are displayed.
Different play modes
Appear when you press Play.
Here are the main options in simple words:
Casual: Normal matches without ranks, just for fun.
Competitive: Ranked matches where you gain or lose points to move up or down in rank.
Tournaments: Official in-game tournaments you can join and compete in against other teams.
Training: Practice mode to improve your skills like shooting, dribbling, and ball control.
Play Offline: Play against bots or locally with friends without internet.
Private Match: Create a custom room and play with a team
Competitive modes
3v3 Standard: Classic 3 vs 3 match.
2v2 Doubles: 2 vs 2 focused on teamwork.
1v1 Duel: Solo 1 vs 1 match.
3v3 Rumble: 3 vs 3 with power-ups.
2v2 Hoops: 2 vs 2 basketball-style mode.
3v3 Snow Day: 3 vs 3 hockey-style mode with a puck.
Item shop
Where you can:
Buy cars, wheels, decals, and goal explosions.
Pay using Credits.
Check out items that change daily or weekly.

Rocket Pass
Seasonal reward system where you level up by earning XP. It has a free track for everyone and a premium track (paid) with exclusive rewards like cars, wheels, decals, credits, and XP boosts.
Garage
Where you customize your car you can choose the body, colors, wheels, boost, goal explosion, and accessories to design it your way.
Club
A customizable team that players can create with friends or join from others, with each Club supporting up to 20 members. Clubs allow teammates to share a name, tag, and colors, and when members play matches together, they earn medals for goals, saves, and assists. These medals contribute to the Club’s progression, unlocking higher tiers and exclusive Club Titles, which are displayed in matches to highlight teamwork and collective achievements.
